Good questions, straight answers

Pricing, quotes and paperwork

What does a call out cost?

Nothing. Getting a plumber to your door, having the fault properly assessed and receiving a written quote costs you nothing at all. You only pay for work you have approved in writing.

Why a fixed price instead of an hourly rate?

Hourly billing rewards slow work. We quote the complete job in writing before starting, and the invoice matches that number. Nights, weekends and public holidays are priced exactly the same way.

Who actually turns up to the job?

A licensed plumber, every time, not a subcontractor sent from across the city. Licence #275278C covers the team, and the compliance certificates your records need arrive with the invoice.

What happens if a repair fails later?

Workmanship carries our Lifetime Labour Warranty. If something we did is not right, we return and correct it at no cost, whenever you notice it, no questions asked.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

We can describe what a job typically involves, but an honest fixed price needs eyes on the fault. The assessment costs nothing, so the quote you receive is grounded in the actual work, not a guess.

Apartments, towers and older homes

Can you get access to apartment buildings?

Yes, and it is routine work for us. We book through building managers, isolate the correct riser before touching a valve, protect common corridors and document everything for strata records.

Why do whole buildings seem to fail at once?

Because it was built at once. Towers fitted out in the same construction window are now cycling through end-of-life hot water units, cistern valves and flexible hoses in batches.

Our building has no gas. What are the options?

Electric storage and electric instantaneous systems both run without gas or external flue routes. The full comparison between gas, electric and instant systems is set out on our hot water hub.

Are the older houses harder to work on?

Different, not harder. The pre-1940 brick cottages often carry original gas lines and clay-jointed drainage, so compliance upgrades and camera diagnosis of root intrusion come with the territory.

Services and scope

What plumbing services do you actually cover?

Everything a home or business needs: general plumbing, drainage and hot water, plus a full emergency response around the clock. Each of those areas has its own hub on this site with the detail.

Emergencies and after hours

What counts as a real emergency?

Water pouring where it should not be, sewage backing up inside, a gas smell, or a hot water system that has died completely. Those get an immediate response, day or night.

What should I do about a gas smell right now?

Turn the gas off at the meter, open windows and doors, avoid light switches and flames, and leave the building if the smell strengthens. Then call us immediately.

Do you actually answer at 2am?

A licensed plumber answers the phone, not an answering machine, around the clock including public holidays. Real humans take the details and tell you what to do while you wait.

How quickly can someone get to me?

We work these streets constantly, so the van reaching you has often just finished a job nearby. For genuine emergencies we prioritise attendance straight away and give you a realistic arrival time on the phone.

Coverage and commercial work

Which suburbs do you cover?

Everything on this ridge and around it: Crows Nest, Wollstonecraft, Naremburn, Artarmon and Greenwich, all with the same $0 call out fee and fixed written pricing in every one.

Do you handle commercial and cafe jobs?

Yes. The food strip serving hospital and office workers puts heavy grease loads through commercial drainage, and backflow obligations apply to many businesses. We work around your trading hours.
